A lovef00d classic! This warm, chocolate-oozing, decadent cake is surprisingly one of the easiest dessert recipes ever!
Ingredients:
1 stick of butter, plus more for greasing the molds
4 ounces bittersweet or semisweet chocolate, chopped into small pieces
4 eggs
1/4 cup sugar
2 teaspoons flour, plus more for dusting the molds
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 450°F.
Melt the butter in the microwave in a medium bowl.
Add the chocolate to the hot butter and stir until melted.
Crack 2 eggs into a bowl, and add 2 more egg yolks (discard the extra egg whites).
Add the sugar, and beat or whisk until light in color and thick, about 1 minute.
Add the egg/sugar mixture and the flour to the melted chocolate and beat until combined.
Butter and lightly flour four 4-ounce molds or ramekins, tapping out the extra flour.
Divide the batter among the molds and bake for 7 to 9 minutes.
Let sit for 1 minute, then put a plate on top of the ramekin and using a potholder to protect your hand, carefully invert the cake onto the plate. Let it sit for a few seconds, then remove the ramekin.
Serve immediately - can top with ice cream, powdered sugar, berries, whipped cream, etc!
