my go-to green smoothie bowl

Just another example of why everything tastes better in bowl form. I make this smoothie for lunch several times a week, pour it into a bowl, and top it with my favorite toppings. It's such a yummy way to eat my veggies but also satisfy my sweet tooth!


Ingredients:

  • 1/2 frozen banana

  • 1/2 green apple

  • 3-4 handfuls of kale

  • A few shakes of ginger (optional, but I love the taste)

  • Toppings of choice

Instructions:

  1. Combine all ingredients in blender until smooth

  2. Pour into a bowl and add desired toppings. Lately I've been doing granola (Purely Elizabeth or Paleonola), whatever fresh berries we have in the fridge, and chia seeds.
